ONE OF the best acoustic roots bands in the country is launching its new album with a special gig at Pacific Road Arts Centre on March 7.

Wirral’s own Elbow Jane, made up of Kev Byrne, Chris Chesters, Steve Finnegan, Joe Topping and Rich Woods, recently signed a recording contract with national acoustic label Fellside Recordings Ltd.

This led to a Merseyside themed CD called 3 Side Island, which is available now in shops or online from Fellside Records and inspired a National tour.

The act’s music blends bazouki, mandolin, guitar, keyboards, percussion, expressive vocals and wistful harmonies.
