JULIANS restaurant in Hoylake celebrated its fifth anniversary on Sunday and invited a number of regulars along for the party.
Around 70 diners who have supported the eaterie through the years enjoyed canapés, cake and wine.
Julian Davies and his wife Jackie opened their business in 2004 after deciding to merge their talents and realise their special dream together.
With almost 40 years of chefing experience, Julian created a table d’hôte menu and a la carte menu that kept his customers coming back for more.
He said: “I feel like I’ve passed my apprenticeship in Hoylake now.
“The people here are lovely and are like family to us.
“They have supported us, even through the credit crunch.
“Jackie and I want to say thank you to all these people and are sorry we couldn’t invite everyone to join our celebration last weekend.”
The culinary team are now looking forward to their next five years and have kick-started 2009 with a special 10% off voucher for all diners.
Julian is also teaching more cooking masterclasses every Sunday and Monday.
The talented chef said: “I run three-hour workshops, costing £60, where I teach customers how to cook bread, main courses and heavenly chocolate deserts.”
After the workshops, Julian’s students take home a £20 voucher to spend at any time in the restaurant.
