GREASBY Recorders are holding their annual Christmas carol reunion for charity outside Greasby Library on Saturday (December 20), between 10am and 12noon. Any members of the group, which was formerly known as Greasby Methodist Recorders, can call Sue O’Neil on 677 9187.

THE Port Sunlight Players present their traditional pantomime, Jack & Jill, at the Gladstone Theatre, Port Sunlight this month. Performances are on December 12, 19 and 20 (7.30pm), December 13, 14 and 20 (2pm), with a 6pm performance on December 14. Tickets are £8, concessions £7, available from 645 4629 or 643 8757.

BOOKINGS are now being taken for Sleeping Beauty, the 2008 pantomime at New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion Theatre. Performances are from December 22 to January 11. Tickets can be booked from 666 0000.

THE Freddie Smith Big Band plays swing music every Wednesday evening at Bebington British Legion, Teehey Road, Higher Bebington. Admission is free and the event starts at 8.30pm. December 17 is party night and there will be free refreshments.

PAULINE Daniels will be at Port Sunlight’s Gladstone Theatre this Sunday (December 21) for her “Christmas Comedy Cracker”. Tickets are £10, available from the box office on 643 8757. The show starts at 7.30pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

THE Leasowe Castle Country & Western Music Club at Poulton Victoria Sports and Social Club, Wallasey, has announced its January line-up. The Michigan Duo will be playing on January 8, followed by Middi on January 15, Clear Cut on January 22 and the Saloon Drifters on January 29. Doors open at 7.30pm.
