Win tickets for Sleeping Beauty pantomime at New Brighton’s state-of-the-art Floral Pavilion

LIVEGUIDE has teamed up with the Floral Pavilion to give away tickets for the new theatre’s first Christmas pantomime.

The state-of-the-art theatre and conference centre complex in New Brighton opens on December 13 - and two lucky families can be among the first to visit and see Sleeping Beauty.

In the show, Get Your Own Back host Dave Benson Phillips will play the Court Jester alongside 1970s pin-up Mike Holoway and Leanne Campbell from 107.6 Juice FM, who is taking on the role of Sleeping Beauty.

The production marks the return of Sleeping Beauty to the Floral after a 30 year break and show producers are promising a “spectacular musical fairytale” suitable for all the family.

Loveable children’s TV presenter Dave said: “I know I’m coming to an area where you have a great sense of humour and you’ve spawned a lot of great comedians.

“This has been a worry for me for quite a while because I know there will be people funnier than myself in the audience!”

Theatre manager Paul Holliday said: “The new Floral Pavilion is now comparable to some of the best theatres in the country.

“I can’t wait to see our upcoming shows on the bigger stage with the new lighting system – the future of this theatre with its show line-up is set to be absolutely fantastic.”

Sleeping Beauty will be performed from Monday, December 22 to Sunday, January 11.

Performances are at 7pm, with a 2pm matinee.

Tickets are £12 for adults and £10 concessions (£38 for a family ticket), with discounts for groups of 20 or more.

For bookings call 666 0000.

For your chance to win a family ticket, answer the following question: In the story of Sleeping Beauty, why does she fall into a deep sleep? a) She pricks her finger, b) She eats a poison apple or c) She is kissed by a Prince.

Send your answer with your name and address to: Sleeping Beauty Competition, Wirral News Group, 76 Hamilton Street, Birkenhead CH41 5AN.

All entries must be received by Monday, December 17.
