Swing and soul at Birkenhead's 2A Price Street

A SWING and soul soundtrack will be creating a sophisticated vibe at 2A Price Street next month.

A live music night, full of Rat Pack hits and soulful classics, will take place at the Birkenhead venue on Wednesday, September 17.

Danny Dooley, of Wirral band Tequila, will be turning on the charm to deliver a Frank Sinatra inspired set, and Neil “the soul man” Cooper will lift the tempo with hits from Hot Chocolate and Barry White.

Manager Lisa Crowder hopes the night will give grownups a midweek excuse to go out.

She said: “We want an older generation to come along and try it out.

“I don’t think there’s an evening like this that older people can really enjoy.”

And for Lisa there’s only want song she wants to hear.

“My favourite song is definitely New York, New York, because I lived there for six years.”

l Entrance is free and the night starts at 9pm. For more details check out the website www.2apricestreet.co.uk
