NEW Brighton restaurant Peninsula Dining Room is holding a cheese and wine evening next month to raise money for Claire House.
Prizes including hampers, vouchers, cookbooks and a cookery lesson with Peninsula chef-patron Ross Gray will also be auctioned off at the event on Wednesday, April 14.
Tickets cost £15, which include cheese, wine and nibbles and one ticket for a prize raffle to be drawn on the night.
Ross and his team have donated £1100 for the children’s hospice raised by selling bottled water for 50p.
Four members of staff also raised £150 by running last year’s Santa Dash in Liverpool.
He said: “We’ve always wanted to do a cheese and wine night and the Liverpool Cheese Company and my wine merchant House of Townend both agreed to help.”
Among the prizes on the night are ten Relish cookbooks, a cookery lesson with Ross, two year-long memberships to the Floral Pavilion Theatre, bottles of wine and vouchers for local shops and hairdressers.
There are also vouchers for The Light Cinema in New Brighton and meals at Alma de Cuba and the London Carriageworks restaurant to be won.
