Wirral Farmers’ Market celebrates ninth birthday on Saturday

WIRRAL Farmers’ Market is celebrating its ninth birthday this Saturday.

Producers will be marking the occasion by tucking onto a cupcake creation baked byMary Walton, of Willaston-based Mary’s Cakes.

This month customers can find out the winners of the Producer of the Year awards, voted for entirely by visitors to the market.

Anne Benson, chairman of Wirral Farmers’ Market, said: “We can’t believe it has been nine years since the market started and how it’s popularity just continues to grow.”

The market takes place at the Village Hall in Grove Street, New Ferry from 9am to 1pm.
