Tempting treats this autumn at Monroe’s restaurant in Wallasey

MONROE’S restaurant has a wide selection of culinary treats for Wirral diners to enjoy this coming autumn.

Former dishwasher Andy and his wife Andrea Jones took over the steak house and sauces restaurant in Wallasey Road, Liscard Village, last year in order to make their dream come true.

To keep the dream alive, Andy has ensured he serves the best quality food with impeccable, friendly service within clean, warm surroundings.

Fresh fish, sizzling steaks with creamy sauces, a selection of Italian style pasta with crisp salads and crunchy vegetables are just a few food choices on offer - and that is before you get to the dessert and wine menu.

An experience at Monroe’s exudes class as diners sit beneath the eyes of Marilyn Monroe and other famous movie stars whose pictures adorn the restaurant walls.

Andy said: “Owning Monroe’s has been a dream of mine for nearly 15 years, but the reality of the dream is quite difficult.

“It is hard work running a restaurant but I think we have done a good job so far.

“We have a great team and regulars know our staff well as our chef has been here for years.

“We work extremely hard to make diners’ visits as special and enjoyable as possible, which I think is appreciated and welcomed.

“The menu has not changed much since we took over the restaurant because people like the food so much, but our specials board changes every month.

“I want the restaurant to keep the reputation of being a great place to come and eat good food, drink good wine and beer and leave feeling fulfilled.”

For a special occasion or a romantic treat, you can visit Monroe’s Wednesday to Sunday from 5.30-10pm.
