Grimanga

Our band is called 'Grimanga' and we started out in September 2010 with the sole purpose of going on a mini tour of Germany. Since then we have rehearsed a full set list and have booked 5 warm up dates in the UK.

We are a 4 piece 'modern rock' band who I suppose could be compared to a hybrid Feeder/Muse type combination.

The band consists of:

Pete Cunningham - A singer/songwriter and guitarist in his own right after having been in several bands (Resuss – rock covers, The JellyDeals original rock ) and as a solo artist playing on the Liverpool acoustic scene (www.myspace.com/cunningtunes). Grimanga songs are energetic, rhythmically infectious and leave sing-along melodies swimming in your head.

Jay Mantzoni - a seasoned drumming pro. He toured the UK with various bands, including Heyday, for 16 years. Recording and playing in the US in venues such as Sony Studios, Santa Monica, The Alligator Lounge and up and down The Sunset Strip in LA. He is currently a drum tutor for Drumsense (jay.mentzoni@drumsense.com).

Dave Sale - Bass Guitarist for 20 years. Bands include: MJ12 - Rock; originals/covers band (no label); Hyperplant - Industrial metal; originals (semi-pro, Treasure Island records); Number One Son - Rock/Metal; original (professional, Visible Noise); Echofix - Rock/Metal; originals (no label).

Ian Carter- a guitarist and bassist for 20 years who also currently plays in a rock/pop covers band called Bare Bones. His previous bands include rock bands The Revolvers and Brooklyn. His complex and innovative rhythm style provides crunching riffs, big power chords and clever solos to enhance every song.
