Tranmere Rovers FC

Founded in 1884 and based at Prenton Park stadium, Tranmere Rovers were a founder member of Division Three North in 1921, and have remained a member of the Football League since. They won the Welsh Cup in the 1934/5 season, the League Trophy in 1989/90 and reached the FA Cup quarter finals in 2000, 2001 and 2004. They currently play in League One and their current manager is Ronnie Moore.

The ground breaking partnership between Glyndwr University and Wrexham FC has attracted 15 players, including several from the North West.
